Built in 1980 and designed by celebrated Pines architect Gary W. Stluka, Fabulous is a bayfront original with a reputation that precedes it — and stories that linger long after checkout.
From its earliest days, the house was designed for entertaining. Clean modern lines, an open and flowing layout, and expansive bay views set the stage for effortless indoor-outdoor living. Sun pours in by day, sunsets steal the show in the evening, and the house naturally pulls people together — whether that means cocktails on the deck, bodies by the pool, or late-night conversations that drift well past midnight.
Over the years, Fabulous became known as more than just a beautiful home. It evolved into a gathering place — hosting legendary themed parties, private events, and weekends that blurred the line between guests and friends. It’s the kind of house where the music gets turned up, inhibitions come down, and the only real rule is to enjoy yourself.
Its bold personality hasn’t gone unnoticed. Fabulous was featured as a filming location for American Horror Story: NYC, chosen for its striking architecture, unmistakable presence, and deep ties to Fire Island’s queer cultural history.
